Burial quilts accompany a person in death—as a funerary ritual, or embracing the body. They are objects of memory, protection, and transition between life and death. Hand embroidered, and machine bound, these quilts contain elements of the natural world we are akin to. Naturally dyed and printed with botanicals, they celebrate the body being returned to the earth with warmth and care.
